Leadership Transition 2023

The Board of Directors for New Voices for Reproductive Justice announced today that Kelly Davis will be transitioning from her role as Executive Director after successfully leading the Black Reproductive Justice organization since February of 2022. Beulah Osueke, the organization's Deputy Director for the past year, has been named Interim Executive Director.

New Voices for Reproductive Justice is appalled by the Pennsylvania State Senate and House’s attempts to advance abortion restriction under the cover of night

While their constituents slept, the Pennsylvania State Senate met at midnight on Friday, July 8 to pass Senate Bill 106 which contains two amendments to the Pennsylvania Constitution, the first proposing that there is no constitutional right to tax-payer funded abortion and the second proposing there is no right to any abortion, paving the way for criminalization.

New Voices for Reproductive Justice Condemns Supreme Court Decision to Overturn Roe v. Wade and Ban Abortion

New Voices for Reproductive Justice is disappointed yet unsurprised by The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to vote in favor of Thomas E. Dobbs in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson today, overturning Roe v. Wade, and restricting the human right to access legal abortion.

New Voices for Reproductive Justice is disappointed to learn about the leaked Supreme Court draft decision on Roe v. Wade. Although many have received this news as shocking, the Reproductive Justice movement recognizes that state-sanctioned violence against Black women, girls and gender-expansive folx is deeply embedded within this nation’s legacy.
