New Voices Initiatives

Our organization’s work is rooted in the Reproductive Justice framework. Our three initiatives are how we get people involved and engaged in the movement and provide them with resources to become advocates in their own communities.

We apply reproductive justice in every aspect of our work. New Voices’ programming and organizational culture are a direct reflection of our mission and values, and we are deeply committed to amplifying the voices, experiences and leadership, and providing direct material resources to our core constituency – Black women, girls, femmes, and gender-expansive folx.

Environmental Justice Initiative

Through Black Women, Green Future, we focus on ways that reproductive justice is inextricably linked to environmental justice, educate around environmental racism and climate activism to uplift, amplify, and honor Black women and birthing people doing environmental justice work.

Voter Engagement Initiative

The Voice Your Vote! team is a group dedicated to the resourcing of historically disenfranchised voters such as Black women, queer people, disabled people, and those impacted by poverty. Through phone/text banking and in-person canvassing, we make sure citizens are registered to vote, have the means to vote, understand their rights and the political climate in which they inhabit.

Community Organizing & Engagement Initiative

Our Community Organizing team is resourcing the Reproductive Justice leaders of tomorrow with the tools, education, and community linkages they need to become advocates in their lives and their communities. Through educational teach-ins, virtual events, and leadership development we are building power within our three cities.
